The Girl

When I imagined turning 25 years old, I didn’t consider all the factors that would affect what kind of 25-year-old I would be.  If you had asked me at five years old, I likely would have said I’d be a famous singer and living in a mansion in the treetops somewhere.  At ten, I would likely have given you some sort of angsty answer that involved ‘just having a job or something’. At 15, I probably would have said graduated from college and having a good job, whereas at 20, I’m pretty sure I just wanted to be happy.

Becoming 25 was a wonderful gift; one that I do not take for granted.  I am married, living in Arizona after moving from Connecticut, and I essentially read for a living so no complaints here.  I get to motivate thousands of people to read each month in live discussions and chat with readers from all over the globe through the power of the internet.

Yet, I dream of more.  I look forward to the day where I’m not limited to inspiring bookworms to read the words of others but instead to want to read my words.  I cannot wait for the opportunity to share my stories with the world and all that comes with it.

And that is where you come in, dear reader.  I am so excited that you are here and eager to learn more about my process and who I am and what makes me someone worth investing time in and getting to know.  I look forward to sharing my thoughts, struggles, and snack foods with you and I hope you’ll share back because, let’s face it, sharing ideas is how we can make the world a much more interesting place.
